Letter

Mr.M just awhile ago announced that we were going to have pen pals from America, just today we sent off our letters to them which is quiet exciting for us. I drew some pictures of what I like, it was really fun making the letters because we are in a Digi class, it was really cool having a go at writing again even though I didn't really miss pen and paper. I enjoyed writing my letter and hope to get a reply soon!

The Killer

Maths Problems

Today we did a Maths Test on strategies, it was really fun but hard when I got to the end were I couldn't think of any other strategies for the last box. I think I did really well but need to get better, I was really proud  of how much I did! Here is a link to a really cool post on my class blog about the strategies!

Reading Check Up

We have now got a lot of tests coming up and one of them was a Reading Strategy Check Up. We had to Make Connections,Visualise, Ask Questions, Predict and use our Vocabulary. The story was called Twister Rips Off Roof, it was really dramatic but awesome!

Reflection On Optimist Yachting

Reflection For Optimist Yachting

· Something I was pleased with was how I controlled the yacht and helped others if they needed help because I like yachting and I can help others, so they can learn.

· I really enjoyed learning how to control the in the wild wind because it was really fun and I learned lots.

· Something I found hard was kayaking in a strong current with white tops.

Something I want to get better at is kayaking by my self.

Parkvale Live Poster

Today we had to make a poster to do with our production recently "Parkvale Live"!

We did it on this really cool website, all you had to do is come up with a saying and put the picture in that you wanted, it was really fun :) I did the rock 'n' roll because I liked the picture and they were really good at putting on a show!

Maths Problems

Today at maths time we did a few maths problems!

Felicity and I worked together and we got ten, it was really easy once you got the hang of it. Here is how we work it out!

The last one was:  What might * x ^ = 2280 be? How many different answers can you find?

Felicity and I didn't do as well on this question it was a bit harder for us, but we did get a few like the 20x114=2280 and 228x10=2280. It was really fun doing all these problems it made our minds think! I always enjoy maths thanks to Mr.M:)

Production Diary Part One

21/8/12
Day One
“Hi! my name is Natasha” it is only a few weeks until the production has to be put together and perfected to the end. I don’t know where to start all I know is that I am excited and freaking out, its not everyday that you stand on a stage and perform to fifty or more people. I almost forgot, I am the commenter for “Who’s Got Talent” you know the show the one where people sing, dance and show talent pretty much. Today I thought I would never get through all my lines and know them all off my heart, its hard! You have to practice and practice and don’t forget to practice again and once more for good luck. We are nearly going to practice on stage so I hope I get them right!

Day Two
I am back again but now I really know lines and it wasn’t that hard after all. Guess what we did today? you got it we practice for like a hour and a half. Practice, practice and more practice it just goes on and on and on. But I still had fun! We listen to all the “Who’s Got Talent” contestants and man they were good at hitting those notes especially Gabriel and Alice, listening to them feels like I am in heaven with the angels!
